Franz Robinson

I received an email form Bob Seals with two updates from Roger Moore concerning Franz Robinson's motorcycle accident in Myrtle Beach.

Plesase remember him in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

(Roger Moore emails)

Franz Robinson was in a motorcycle accident in Myrtle Beach, you may already know this. A car pulled out in front of him and drug him for some distance.  Franz was in C-1-10 with me and retired a few years ago.

His wife Stephanie is an EMT here in the area, they live here local somewhere. Anyway, Franz is pretty messed up, in intensive care near Myrtle Beach somewhere. Head injury, broken leg, broken foot, broken ribs and something with a lacerated liver that I can remember. I don’t know what we could do to help, but I know Stephanie is driving back and forth and I think the SFA should know about one of our brothers. I’ll try and find out more.

As  a follow up to the prior e mail, here is his current status.

Latest update from Stefanie Robinson, about 7hrs ago (08/17/15)

The view hasn't changed much here. His blood pressure finally stabilized through the night and he is still sedated. He will more than likely stay sedated for a good amount of time. His confirmed injuries are: subarachnoid bleeding in the brain, multiple rib fractures, pulmonary contusions, a grade 3 liver laceration, 2 "open book" pelvic fractures, right tib-fib fracture and right foot fracture. He has 6 IV drips going which consist of antibiotics, seizure medication, pain medication and sedation medication. I am waiting for them to take him down to the OR then will make the three hour drive home to the girls

UPDATE   -  08/26/15

Franz is awake and very aware of where he is and what is going on around him. They expect he will be in the Myrtle Beach area for up to 8 more weeks before they can move him closer to home.

I believe there is still a fund me page for him that I will try and find. His wife is not working right now to take care of their daughters and drive back and forth.
